Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s an honor to have the opportunity to address such a distinguished audience. My name is Iis Yuliani. I’m studying in Faculty of Engineering Semarang State University, majoring in Electrical engineering.

I’d like to talk to you today about the HYBRID ENERGY AS THE NEWEST ALTERNATIVE ELECTRICAL ENERGY RESOURCE AND BIOLOGICAL CONTROL IN THE VILLAGE.

The purpose

The purpose of this talk is to put you in the picture about the newest alternative electrical energy resource.

I plan to be brief.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get down to the business.

Background

Electrical energy is 1 of important needs of Indonesian society. Indonesia is archipelago country that built from thousands islands which spread in whole Indonesia. But in the fact we can see in the picture there are many remote areas that couldn’t get electrical energy access. Electricity shortage usually happens in the village in remote areas.

Furthermore, Indonesia is agricultural country. Village is identical with farming. In the farming pest is the main problem that is causing crop failure and Insecticide still not yet maximalist the function.

Statement of problems

The problems of Indonesian society today are Indonesian Society not yet maximalists energy resource.

So 1^st problem is How to create alternative electrical energy by using hybrid energy that is made from hydropower and solar energy?
Then, How to harness the potential of the region's natural resources to provide the locals electrical energy that can be managed independently by local people?
How to fulfill the whole access of electricity needs?
How to burn off agricultural pests that are environmental friendly for the Indonesian society?

Purpose:

The purposes of this statement that can be realized are:

To encourage people to create electrical energy alternatives.
To fulfill the whole access of electrical energy needs.
Using local natural resources to provide electrical energy on local scale which can be managed independently by a local society.
To eradicate agricultural pests that are environmental friendly

Analyze

As Indonesian society we know that Indonesian is an agricultural country. There is many potential resources, the resources that can be use to make alternative electricity are water energy, wind energy, solar energy, and the electricity from PT PLN Indonesia.

Local resources that can be used to produce local electricity should be lo coast and easy to maintenance by local people. The low coast and easy maintenance resources are water resource and solar cell.

There is a challenge in Indonesian society that is Indonesian society don’t be able to operate local resources to produce local electricity so the solution is making the electricity organization based on participatory planning.

This organization will be using local resources to produce local electricity that can be use for village, can be managed by local people, and can be duplicated by local people too.

Design of “hybrid power plant”. Hybrid energy is made by Micro hydro power plant and solar cell. Solar cell is used as the backup when Micro hydro power plant doesn’t work. Hybrid energy can produce alternative electricity that can be used to on pest control and for electricity on local village.

River, irrigation, and water resource much placed near farm and plantation in the village. Pest is the main problem of crop failure. In the hybrid power plant will be completed with pest control device that can be used to cast out the rats and to trap the insects.

Rat analyzes:

Rat can hear the sound with frequency between 32 until 64 kHz. This sounds can’t be hear by human because human. This sound make rats feel not comfort and run away.

Insect analyses:

Insects trap using light of the lamp to attract insect. As we know that insect always searching light in the night. When insects come to the light then it’s trapped in the big cup under the lamp.

If hybrid power plant can be running well, villager can enjoy the light freely and the prosperity of famer will be true.

From the description above it can be concluded that:

How to make alternative electricity? Hybrid energy is produce alternative electricity that be made by MHP and solar cell.
How to overcome electricity shortage in the remote areas? Hybrid energy can be use to give whole electricity access especially for villages in remote area.
How to using local resources to provide electricity? Hybrid energy is using local resources that can produce electricity for local scale, can be managed by local people, and also can be duplicated local people.
How to eliminate agricultural pest? Hybrid power plant is completed with pest control that can be used to cast out the rats and to be trapping insects.
